Background:
The Arizona Cardinals last season attempted to
bring the limelight back to them by signing the
leagues all-time leading rusher, Emmitt Smith.
Emmitt Smith had been released by the Dallas Cowboys
because of his lackluster season and age had begun
to take over. Emmitt was determined not to retire
and he signed a two year contract with the Cardinals.
However, he was injured early in the season in
a game against his former team. This year Emmitt
Smith is expected to be more of a mentor than
anything. The Arizona Cardinals are now led by
Dennis Green and the NFC West division has never
been weaker. The Arizona Cardinals are the team
to watch in the west!
