Super Bowls: One 1986 Super Bowl
XX
Background: The Chicago Bears
are by far one of the most popular NFL franchises.
They have even had the honor of being on a Wheaties
Cereal Box and are the only team ever to have
their own music video, “The Super Bowl Shuffle.”
When the Chicago Bears went 15-1 in 1985, it was
the last time a franchise had come so close to
tying the undefeated mark held by the 1972 Miami
Dolphins. Mike Ditka’s 1986 Super Bowl Championship
team is considered to be one of the best teams
ever. The New England Patriots did not have a
chance, they almost should not have showed up.
The 1985-1986 Chicago Bears team had an emphasis
on defense and as the saying goes, defense wins
games. Chicago is one of the most popular cities
in the world and there is by far no better place
to watch a NFL game than at the legendary Soldier
Field.
