The Cincinnati Bengals can be categorized
as having moderate success over the years as a
franchise. There claim to fame lies in the fact
that unlike some teams in the league the Cincinnati
Bengals have made it to the Super Bowl on two
separate occasions. Oddly enough both of those
losses have come to the San Francisco 49ers. The
Cincinnati Bengals have struggled for much of
the 1990s and 21st century. Last year the Cincinnati
Bengals hired the highly regarded Defensive Coordinator
of the Baltimore Ravens, Marvin Lewis. In just
his first year as head coach, Marvin Lewis brought
the Cincinnati Bengals to an even 8-8 mark. Thanks
to off-season acquisitions and Marvin Lewis’s
preference on defense, the Cincinnati Bengals
are in the perfect position to make a playoff
run.
