Background:
The Detroit Lions are one of the older
franchises of the NFL. Each year on Thanksgiving
Day, the NFL always has 2 games scheduled. Each
time it is a home game for the Dallas Cowboys
and the Detroit Lions. Last year the Detroit Lions
were a disappointing 5-11. The team has finally
decided to move on concerning Barry Sanders. When
Joey Harrington was signed there were so many
expectations put on him but he never had any weapons.
Now Harrington does and he has an excellent proven
coach with Steve Mariucci to guide him. All eyes
this upcoming season will be the Detroit Lions
and to see whether Steve Mariucci can make the
Detroit Lions a respectable franchise.
