Team: Philadelphia Eagles
Sport: Pro Football (NFL)
Stadium: Veteran’s Stadium
Head Coach: Andy Reid
Super Bowls: None
Background: There have been some great
Eagles rosters in the past. A lot of Pro Bowl Eagles have
shared locker rooms. Star power has been evident during championship
seasons in '48 and '49, 1960, the 1980 Super Bowl team.
What about this team? Is it the most talented Eagles team,
as it stands on paper, that you can remember?
Think about it. The Eagles have top-five-at-their-position
players throughout the team. Donovan McNabb at quarterback,
Terrell Owens at wide receiver, Jon Runyan and Tra Thomas
at the tackle spots, David Akers at kicker, Jevon Kearse at
defensive end, Brian Dawkins at safety. Sure, you can argue
one or two of those evaluations, and maybe you'd want to add
Corey Simon to the equation. But whether you agree, there
is no debating this: The Eagles have as much star power as
they've had in the modern era.
